Evaluation and licensing
Start by checking your model and deployment needs. OLES is a Python solver for smooth, continuous nonlinear optimization.
Evaluation licenses are currently requested by email and issued after review. Developer licenses are currently arranged with our team; self-serve checkout is not connected. Contact us for Server licensing. Confirm your environment, applicable terms, and the available release with our team before committing.
1. Evaluate with your own model
Request a free, full-featured 14-day evaluation for benchmarking and proof of concept. It excludes production use, resale, and redistribution. Share your operating system, architecture, Python version, problem size, and intended use. Do not send confidential models or data unless a suitable agreement is in place.

| License | Price | Devices / simultaneous solves | Permitted use | Not included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Developer | US$1,500 / year | 1 / 1 | Local development, analysis and commercial modelling on one workstation. | Shared production services, multi-machine deployment and redistribution. |
| Server | US$4,000 / year | 3 / 8 | Internal production services, shared servers, scheduled jobs and cloud workloads. | Redistribution or embedding in products sold to third parties. |
| OEM / Enterprise | Custom quote | Confirm with team | Embedding, resale and redistribution subject to a negotiated agreement. | Redistribution before an OEM agreement is executed. |
| Evaluation | Free | Confirm with team | Evaluation, benchmarking and proof of concept with full solver functionality. | Production, resale and redistribution. |
| Academic | Free | Confirm with team | Non-commercial research, subject to eligibility review. | Consulting, paid industrial projects, commercial R&D and company deployment. |
Server offers 4, 8 or 16 simultaneous solves shared across up to three activated machines. The listed US$4,000 annual price is for eight solves; prices for four and sixteen require a quote. There are no usage-based charges. API keys share the purchased capacity and do not multiply it. A simultaneous solve is one running optimization job, independent of its CPU thread count. Contact sales for more than sixteen solves, more than three machines, or to discuss upgrading an existing license. Academic entitlements are renewable annually after eligibility review; send your institution, academic email, intended use, and expected duration to oles@optimai.cl. To help us review your request, you can include a link to your institutional or research profile, or attach a document confirming your academic affiliation when sending the email. This is optional.
3. Confirm installation compatibility
OLES includes compiled native components. The wheel must match your Python version, operating system, and CPU architecture. Use pip to install the supplied wheel: python3 -m pip install ./oles-0.3.2-*.whl. Run the command from the directory containing the wheel for your environment. The examples on the product page follow the OLES Python modelling documentation. Installation and activation instructions are provided with the approved license. Do not infer platform support from a generic Python version range.
Request technical documentation: installation, quickstart, modelling API, solver options, termination/status codes, licensing, troubleshooting, known limitations, release notes, and examples. Platform compatibility is confirmed for the supplied wheel before licensing.
4. Understand support and maintenance
Paid annual licenses include patch and minor releases during the paid license term, and standard support for installation, activation, documented API behavior, reproducible defects, crashes, status handling, and reasonable solver-parameter guidance. The launch maintenance policy covers the current and immediately previous minor release. The standard response target is two business days, with no contractual SLA or 24/7 commitment.
Model construction, reformulation, data engineering, custom integration, and guaranteed runtime or global-optimum outcomes are outside standard support. Enterprise support terms are negotiated separately.
For a support request include your OLES version, platform, Python version, expected and actual behavior, and a minimal reproduction with sensitive information removed. Never send license keys or credentials. Prepare a support email.
Terms, privacy, and purchasing
Read the full OLES license terms, refund policy, and privacy policy. This guide summarizes the offer; the versioned agreement governs the software license. OEM and redistribution rights require a separate written agreement.
Developer and Server purchases are one-time annual payments with manual renewal. There is no automatic renewal, monthly billing, or usage charge. Prices are in USD; applicable taxes and the final total are shown before payment. Renewing an active license adds a year to its expiry; an expired license restarts from confirmed payment.
Paddle is the merchant of record for purchases through its checkout and handles payment, tax calculation, billing documents, and payment support. OptimAI Labs provides OLES and technical support. Refund requests follow Paddle’s applicable policy and mandatory legal rights. Contact details.
The product website prepares email requests locally. The account portal stores account, trial, and licensing information; see the privacy notice for those distinct uses and the outstanding production details.
Using a purchasing agent?
Read the agent purchasing guide and machine-readable catalog for the current acquisition status. A request is not a completed purchase.
